The BBC Full Concert Orchestra presents a programme of orchestral favourites at Great Yarmouth’s Hippodrome Britain’s last surviving total circus building on Friday 8th November.

Sea songs, Fado and classic West End musicals: the BBC Concert Orchestra comes to Great Yarmouth for a very special Friday Night Is Music Night – BBC Radio 3’s legendary celebration of great tunes, good times and that unmistakable Friday feeling. And tonight, conductor George Jackson and the BBC Concert Orchestra bring you an evening of music from home and away.

There’ll be hits from the West End musicals with singing sensation Rachel John, something new from the locally-based stars of Freshly Greated, plus a taste of fado with singer Zara Maia – the passionate popular song from Portugal.

And naturally, there’ll be popular classics old and new, including The Dam Busters, the Champagne Polka and a whole squadron of British favourites inspired by land, air and sea – as well as a spotlight on one of the BBC Concert Orchestra’s own stars, horn player Andrew Littlemore.

Join us for a wonderful night of melody from Great Yarmouth.
